<strong>Job Summary</strong><br>
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer 1 to join our team onsite in Waco, TX, supporting real-time production and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced assembly environment. In this 12-month contract role (MondayâThursday, 6:00amâ4:00pm), you will apply engineering principles to improve industrial layout and manufacturing processes, update tooling and routings, assist with new product introduction (NPI), review engineering change notices, and author standard work documentation in systems such as Teamcenter and SAP. You will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Project, Quality, Supply, and Facility Engineers to troubleshoot build issues, validate BOMs, interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, and drive efficiency through lean initiatives and Rapid Improvement Workshops.<br>

<strong><u>Typical task breakdown:</u></strong>

&#9;<li>A typical day involves supporting the assembly floor by troubleshooting build issues and refining standard work to ensure safe, consistent processes. Manufacturing Engineers regularly update routings, validate BOMs, and implement engineering changes to keep production accurate and aligned with current designs. They collaborate with Quality and Supply teams to address nonconformances, evaluate part readiness when needed. Continuous improvement work is constantâidentifying waste, improving material flow, and optimizing layout or tooling to increase efficiency.

<strong>Role:</strong>&nbsp;Perform work&nbsp;at&nbsp;customer sites across the Americas working with the fellow Reverse Logistics team members. The Reverse Logistics team is responsible for returning new and used customer material from site back into inventory. The team receives requests from engineering groups within NetOps that complete deployments across the Americas region. The material&nbsp;is thoroughly audited&nbsp; on site, noting condition and hardware configuration, packaged, staged for shipping, and&nbsp;collected&nbsp;to be&nbsp;brought safely back from sites to be sorted, refurbished, and redistributed per the direction of the customer. In this role, the technician is expected to perform comprehensive and accurate quality checks to be used by other teams when determining re-use viability.<br>

<strong>Daily activities:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;<br>

This role is responsible for auditing, collecting, documenting, packaging, and coordinating the return of telecom equipment from customer sites back into inventory for refurbishment and redeployment.<br>
This is a highly detail-oriented, travel-based position requiring strong spreadsheet skills, telecom hardware knowledge, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.<br>

This is the intermediate level of the Project Controls classification hierarchy. Workers at this level are responsible for initiating and completing routine aspects of project control assignments with general oversight. Workers effectively apply fundamental project controls principles and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied. They have an understanding of associated project controls software, must have hands on experience using primavera (p6) as the scheduling software.<br>

This position typically is assigned to a high volume of White projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix. Have experience / capability to lead schedule review meetings and work with the project team to obtain information to build / update the project schedule.<br>
<br>
Required Qualifications: Graduation from a two-year college or university - business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of project controls scheduling experience using primavera (P6).<br>
<br>
Minimum of 5 years of project controls scheduling experience using primavera (p6) in lieu of a degree. Working knowledge of project controls principles. Working Knowledge to Proficiency with project management / project controls concepts / computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, spreadsheets; proven collaborative team member.<br>
<br>
Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university -business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent. PMI or AACE certification (the following or equivalent are acceptable - PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP).<br>
Software such as Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Powerplant, Maximo, PeopleSoft.<br>
The Project Controls Specialist II may have relationships with individuals of varying levels in various organizations.<br>
Project teams of external Suppliers/Vendors. This role is for a project scheduler who must have hands on experience using primavera (p6) as the scheduling software.<br>
