Job Description
Typical task breakdown:
- The Recruiter 2 begins each day by checking emails and voicemails, reviewing the calendar for scheduled interviews and meetings, and prioritizing tasks. Core responsibilities include conducting interviews for production roles, collaborating with hiring managers on offer decisions, extending offers, and coordinating pre-employment medical appointments. The recruiter also assists candidates through the hiring process and supports Day 1 orientation. Daily wrap-up includes follow-ups, system updates, and preparation for upcoming onboarding.
Interaction with team:
- The Recruiter 2 will work closely with the direct recruiting team in Decatur to align on hiring strategies, share candidate pipelines, and ensure consistency in recruitment practices across locations. Locally, this recruiter will operate side by side with the HR and Labor Relations (LR) teams to support workforce planning, address hiring needs in real time, and ensure smooth onboarding and compliance with labor agreements. This collaboration will enhance communication, streamline processes, and improve the overall candidate and new hire experience.
Work environment:
- The Recruiter 2 will operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that balances independent task management with strong team interaction. The role is office-based, with regular engagement across departments. Daily work involves close coordination with the local HR and Labor Relations teams to support hiring and onboarding, while maintaining active communication with the centralized recruiting team in Decatur. The environment values adaptability, responsiveness, and a proactive approach to meeting high-volume staffing needs, particularly for production roles.
- High School Diploma with 7+ year of experience related experience
- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree with 2+ years related experience
- No Cap on experience
Technical Skills
- Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS): Proficient in using platforms like Workday, Taleo, iCIMS, or similar to manage candidate pipelines and requisitions.
- HRIS Systems: Familiarity with HR systems for onboarding, employee data, and compliance tracking.
- Interview Scheduling Tools: Experience with tools like Microsoft Outlook, Calendly, or integrated ATS scheduling features.
- Pre-employment Process Coordination: Ability to manage background checks, drug screens, and medical appointment scheduling through third-party systems.
- Data Reporting & Metrics: Comfortable generating and interpreting recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source of hire) using Excel, Power BI, or ATS dashboards.
- Communication Tools: Skilled in using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other platforms for internal and candidate communication.
- Document Management: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Compliance & Documentation: Understanding of EEO, OFCCP, and other employment regulations relevant to recruiting and recordkeeping.
