Project Specialist

Job Summary


Coordinates all onsite activities at client location in relation to the consolidation, movement, transportation and disposal of solid waste and recycling activities and other related services to meet customer's expectations for complete sustainability program. Supervises and plans activities of onsite personnel. Serves as liaison between client and vendors in relation to service issues. Maintains pre-established standards for safety and environmental issues.

Helping the environmental tech service the labs daily. Help the Project Manager with data metrics, SOPs, and safety issues.

The position will be to work daily with the Environmental Tech servicing the labs. Having a good customer relationship with the lab personnel is key. The role will be to communicate with the Project Manager daily, aiding with regulatory compliance, safety and data metrics.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all planning for transportation efforts with the disposal of all solid waste and recycling activities from customer sites to support all sustainability standards.
  • Provide physical labor support for the movement, consolidation, and disposition of all materials throughout the facility with the use of multiple types of equipment (forklift, etc.). Ensure compliance with client and government regulations and reporting. Resolve all issues promptly.
  • Aid with client and vendor financial obligations including invoicing, reporting and contracts.
  • Promote culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are trained to perform assigned duties and follow safety, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations.

 

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Education: Associate's Degree (accredited) in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business, or related field, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: One (1) year of relevant work experience (in addition to the education requirement). Preferred Experience: Prior experience managing waste.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  • Manifesting and profiling waste experience preferred.
