Project IT Manager IV
Duration: 12 months
Location: Onsite - Charlotte, NC
  Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager (TPM) to support a single, highly versatile team delivering work across multiple products, domains, and data initiatives.

This team does not focus on one dedicated product. Instead, it supports a broad range of efforts including:

  • Data products

  • Platform enhancements

  • Integrations

  • Operational initiatives

The Senior TPM plays a critical role in bringing structure, predictability, and transparency to a dynamic environment. This role owns work intake, planning, forecasting, dependency management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communications, while partnering closely with Product Owners and Technical Leads to support Agile execution.

The ideal candidate is experienced working with technical teams, comfortable operating amid changing priorities, and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Work Intake & Demand Management

  • Own and manage the work intake process across multiple areas and products

  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify scope, objectives, urgency, and constraints for incoming requests

  • Ensure work requests are properly documented, reviewed, and sequenced before entering the backlog

  • Help stakeholders understand trade-offs when demand exceeds team capacity
Planning, Forecasting & Delivery Tracking

  • Develop and maintain project plans, delivery forecasts, and timelines for diverse initiatives

  • Track progress across concurrent efforts and provide visibility into status, risks, and milestones

  • Adjust plans as priorities, scope, or dependencies change

  • Support scenario planning to clarify impact of changes
Prioritization & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize work based on value, urgency, risk, and capacity

  • Facilitate discussions around sequencing, scope trade-offs, and delivery expectations

  • Serve as a trusted partner translating business needs into technical realities
Dependency & Risk Management

  • Identify, track, and manage internal and external dependencies

  • Proactively identify delivery risks, resource constraints, and blockers

  • Drive mitigation plans and escalate issues when appropriate

  • Maintain visibility into cross-team or third-party impacts
Communication & Reporting

  • Own outbound communications including status updates, delivery summaries, and risk reporting

  • Provide concise, audience-appropriate updates to stakeholders and leadership

  • Ensure expectations are aligned and changes are communicated proactively
Agile Participation & Execution Support

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives)

  • Support Agile execution by tracking commitments, dependencies, and progress

  • Partner with Product Owners and Technical Leads to ensure work is ready for execution

  • Assist with Agile processes as needed (not serving as primary facilitator)
Technical Environment (Strongly Preferred)
This role does not require hands-on development, but technical fluency is essential.

Data Processing & Programming

  • PySpark

  • Python
Streaming & Messaging

  • Kafka

  • Streaming and batch data pipelines
Analytics & BI

  • Qlik

Experience supporting teams building data ingestion, transformation, streaming, and analytics solutions is highly valued.
Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in technical project or program management

  • Experience supporting engineering, data, or platform teams

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ceremonies

  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-variability workstreams

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts and dependencies
