Job Description

IT Senior Project Manager

100% Onsite in Nashville and there is zero flexibility here

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of job related work experience, or 2 additional years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in any major.

Required Work Experience:
5 years IT experience in a leadership capacity, including 2 years experience leading two or more concurrent project teams. 

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree- Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
PMP Certification

Duties:
  • Oversee full SDLC - Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies. - 75% Waterfall/ 25% Agile
  • PMO Framework Alignment
  • Multiple projects simultaneously
  • Track developer progress
  • Track schedule/cost variance
  • CMMI-DEV (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and EVM (Earned Value Management) experience.
  • IT Project Management Healthcare (Medicare/Medicaid) experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and schedule management.

One or more active professional certifications:
  • CAPM certification
  • Scrum Master certification
  • SAFe Scaled Agile Certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and schedule management.

Duties:
  • Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts. 
  • Responsible for moderate number of work efforts simultaneously that vary from a smaller to a moderate scale, with smaller number of hours to moderate number of hours, and with moderate system impacts and moderate scope and complexity.
  • Adheres to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adheres to high quality standards, and meets ISSM expectations. 
  • Monitors project plans, assignments and work efforts on a daily basis.
  • Ensures resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalates functional, quality, timeline issues. 
  • Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans to meet the needs of work effort.
  • Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.
  • Background in Healthcare / Medicare is needed. ****Do not submit candidates that do not have relatable Healthcare or Medicare / Medicaid experience.  Direct experience in Healthcare, Medicare/Medicaid in regards to Project Management.
  • Need to have strong job duration
  • Will need to know how to go about estimating how much a project will cost and build out a schedule. If the candidate delegated this to a team, please hold off on submitting.

Demonstrated experience in the following areas to name a few:
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Critical Thinking /Problem Solving/ Decision Making
  • Ability to understand technical components and integration
  • Good job duration is needed
  • No candidates with a wireless background (AT&T, Verizon etc.) as the experience does not translate to this role.
  • Responsibilities include oversight for all phases of the software development lifecycle.

  • Processes are aligned with ISO, CMMI-DEV, PMI, and IIBA best practices.
