Electrical Engineer 5
Duration: 12 months
Location: Onsite - Mossville, IL
The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise the design, development, and testing of the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
• Review and approve the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models.
• Discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects with clients.
• Supervise the simulation and testing of machine/structure/system operation and monitor product quality.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Day to day:
-good understanding of machine performance
-power electronics, battery sideÂ
-how to translate load conditions into machine drive cycle
Create components models with simulation
Thermal assessments in devices, state of charge/charge rate for batteries
Must haves:
-strong expertise in electrical drivetrain development/ power conversion knowledge in motor, drive, or battery
-simulation experience (ideally matlab/simulink or other simulation tools- ansys)
-good collaboration skills and team player
-analysis skills
-10 years is minimum with Bachelor’s. Bach is min- will not accept Associates
-Masters degree will consider slightly less experience
Preferred:
-good understand of thermal limitations to system level
