Job Description


Instructional Designer

Typical task breakdown:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyze learning needs and design effective instructional solutions.
- Develop instructional materials, including e-learning courses, videos, simulations, and other interactive content.
- Use instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote knowledge retention and skill development.
- Design assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of learning materials and make improvements as needed.
- Stay current on instructional design trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the quality of our learning programs.
- Work closely with multimedia developers, graphic designers, and other team members to produce high-quality learning materials.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Will provide backup support in opening, hosting, and closing live virtual trainings/webinars and supporting throughout the trainings as needed.

Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
o At least two years’ experience working in a corporate training or educational setting.
- Degree requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field strongly preferred.
- Do you accept internships as job experience: Master’s or above internship experience will be considered if specifically focused on instructional design only. Other education experience will not be considered.
- Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: Instructional Designer

Top 3 Skills
- Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (ex – ADDIE, SAM)
- Training and teaching skills
- Computer proficiency including:
* Knowledge of Photoshop, Microsoft Office software and Dreamweaver
* Fundamental understanding of HTML

Additional Technical Skills
(Required)
- Proficiency with instructional design tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.
- Experience with eLearning Authoring
- Audio and video editing skills
- Understanding of Adult Learning design, needs analysis, etc.
- Strong Project Management skills
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
