Accountant
Onsite 5 days/week
Days of the week: Mon - Fri, 40 hours
Function of the Group:
Combination of mitigate risk for construction processes and reduce costs
Industry background:
Accounting background is very important, knowledge of appreciation and depreciation schedules is a major plus
Roles and Responsibilities:
Construction accounting.
Majority of role involves purchase orders, invoices, and close outs.
Project close out - once the project is finished and the building is ready to be put into service, process the close out by classifying and making sure all costs and invoices are paid - taking those and making sure the project IDs match and are right and if not, reclassify the assets.
Team has a large volume at the moment and need to bring individuals on to assist with the project close outs.
This role will have heavy trainings to start as individuals get up to speed.
Lots of work in Excel - when they close out, team pulls the transactions journal which is exported in Excel and team manipulates the documents so having strong excel skills is very critical.
3-5 years of experience
Must Have Skills:
Accounting background - General understanding of accounting principles
Excel - intermediate level - such as VLOOKUPS and baseline functions
Flex Skills/Nice to Have:
Advanced Excel - macro level and high level formulas
Experience with Power BI and power platforms
Soft Skills:
Quick learner
Strong communicator
Move quickly and multitask and very agile
Majority of day is in flight - be able to start something and then drop it and then pick it back up or take on new/different responsibilities throughout the day ad hoc.
Education/Certifications:
Experience in lieu of education
No certs
